Hi everyone. We have just tallied up all the votes & the WINNER of this months challenge kit is

Vicki Austin.

Congratulations Vicki on a fabulous layout. This months challenge kit comprised of the little 2 Crafty Wordlet & Heart/Flowers as well as a packet of aqua flowers & aqua ribbon, the rest was up to you. You could add whatever papers, embellishments etc you wanted to & this is what Vicki came up with.

I thought I would show you a few close ups of all the extra little flowers & leaves Vick has hand made & added to her layout. Notice how she has cut out all those little butterflies from the papers she used & she has also die cut a beautiful doilley to place behind her photo.

A wanted to give you a close up view of what Vicki has done to her 2 Crafty chipboard heart. This looks soooo beautiful Vicki. It is a shame you cannot see in this photo but she has also done some lovely paint effects on her 2 Crafty wordlet as well. A fantastic job Vicki.

Stock Update NEW RELEASE "Dusty Attic" Chipboard Arrived Today

Hello everyone, I thought I had better do a quick Stock Update. Today lots of

NEW RELEASE "Dusty Attic" Chipboard arrived in store as well as lots of top ups of their other popular items. Here is just a small sample.

 Their NEW releases are just gorgeous.

 My favourite NEW Dusty Attic chipboard would have to be these doors & door handles etc. If you see

them actually used on a layout you will agree. Just Fabulous.Click HERE to see.

I just love these little "Hour Glass" pieces. they come in two sizes, & these little lamps are so sweet too.

As always we got top ups of our other favourite Dusty Attic items like these trees, these big swirly hearts, some gorgeous frames & beautiful flourish corners.

These "Bar Codes" are awesome. Can you imagine how great they would look just painted plain black!!! I have a plan for a boy layout using these already. Lots more beautiful smaller frames for either cards or layouts as well as lots of NEW swirls & flourishes. Soooo nice.

Top ups of their fabulous brick walls, these are  fabulous, I usually push the bricks out & stick them on my page & then I get to use the left over brick frame as well, double the value. I don't think you can see very well in this pic but to the far right are their NEW "Grasses", these look fabulous all inked up.

"Sweet" by Di Garling Technique Focus with 2 Crafty Chipboard

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend & got to do a bit of scrapping. I just thought I would share this layout with you today & if you click HERE it will take you over to the 2 Crafty Chipboard blog where on the weekend it was my turn as part of their Design Team to do a little tutorial on using chipboard. "Sisters" Layout & Card by Jan Rankine

Hi everyone. I thought I would show you this gorgeous layout that our very own Jan Rankine did this week. She is on fire at the moment. How this beautiful page came about was, Alison , who owns Green Tara (Jan & I are both on her Design Team) set all the Design Team Members a challenge. She sent each of us a "Challenge Pack" to do something beautiful with!!!! Well there was no stoppin Jan, she just ripped into it & hey presto, this gorgeous layout was born.

Jan has layered up all these petals & added some more lovely Green Tara ribbons,  mesh & a few Rosebuds into her layers for extra dimension.

In this photo you can see how she has used some more Green Tara Ribbons, mesh & these gorgeous Autumn leaves.

Well,  while she had the entire table in a mess she thought she would make a card out of all the leftovers!!!

Jan is never one to do things by half measures, sooooo,  she whipped up this gorgeous little card. She is such a TALENT,  don't you agree? I do love everything she has done here, just stunning, & it literally took her no time at all!!! 

I always say that if you use beautiful, well co ordinated products,  that are well put together, it can still be simple but you cannot help but deliver an awesome result. 

These are all just the older style flatter petals that we all used to use ages ago, you remember, one petal with a brad in the middle!!!!!!!!! That is SO YESTERDAY, these days we layer them all up & add riboons, mesh or whatever else you can get your hands on & transform them as Jan has done here.

Down at my shop, Di's Scrapbooks @ The Entrance, we decided to put all of our paper petals like  Jan has used here, on SALE at HALF PRICE. So if you want to go a little crazy like Jan has in her layout & card, come in & grab some paper petals while stocks last.

STOCK UPDATE

Hi everyone. I thought I had better do a stock update. With school holidays, I have just been flat out at the shop & hence my updates are a bit behind. This week we got some top up stock of "Big Shot" machines. Still the same price but we have got a little BONUS for you. If you mention this blog post when you purchase a Big Shot you get a complimentry Sizzix "Alphabet" die at no extra cost. These alpha dies are worth $37.95 so I think that is a pretty good deal. This BONUS is only while stocks last. We also sell the Alphabet dies separately, so if you already have a Big Shot, Cuttlebug etc they are compatible with most machines & are available to purchase on their own.

Lots of different fonts available.

We also got a top up order of Tim Holtz Pinwheel Dies. These are compatible with most Die Cut Machines.

We also got some of the NEW release Stencils by  "The Crafters Workshop". Some of these are gorgeous. Great to use with mists, gesso, inks etc. I kept about five for myself. I soooo love these!!

Also got top ups of some of the other popular original ones too.

We received a top up order of 2 Crafty chipboard which included a lot of NEW pieces as well.

So yummy.

We are also expecting a big NEW RELEASE order from Dusty Attic chipboard so stay tuned for that 

later in the week.

Bella Boulevarde.

NEW release baby girl range also from Bella Boulevarde.

Another Newbie from Bella Boulevarde called "Sunshine & Happiness". This is the nicest range, so lovely & bright. Lots of great matching bits to go with this too.

This is yet another one by Jillibean Soup with a real "sports" feel to it.

Lastly this one is by Pink Paislee. It has matching bits & I just adore the matching stamps.

April Card Classes

Hello everyone, I just wanted to show you the cards we are making this month in our Card Classes. I'm sure you will enjoy making these, especially the big long one at the front which all folds up into itself & can be adapted to all sorts of occasions. We will be using our Cuttlebug & Big Shot Machines to die cut with Spellbinders as well as lots of Border Punching & a few other techniques thrown in for good measure.

Class Times

Friday 13th April 10am to 2pm

OR

Friday 27th April 10am to 2pm

OR

 Thursday Night 26th April 7pm to 10pm

Cost is $30 which includes complete Kit & all equipment.

"Love Cherish Adore" by Jan Rankine

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you all this BEAUTIFUL page that was designed by our very own Jan Rankine. For those of you that don't know Jan, she is my right hand man, so to speak. Jan has worked at my shop, Di's Scrapbooks, since I very first opened the doors back in June 2006. She wears many hats, she designs, teaches the occassional class & also works in the shop in retail on Saturdays & whenever I am  away. I have to say she is invaluable to me. Her talent in scrapbooking never ceases to amaze me, she is always coming up with something NEW. .

I love the brick wall she has created here & those birds that she has "Fussy cut" look so beautiful. The entire layout is so soft & pretty.

We have this layout & many more on display in the shop that are available to do as a class. 

We do classes Monday to Saturday at 10.30am or Friday nights at 7pm.

 Classes go for about 2 to 3 hours

Cost is $12 plus materials.
