Classes at Di's

Today I thought I would share a couple of pages with you that some of students have done in some of our classes recently. Firstly this beautiful layout called "Reflections" was done by one our our students, Diana Byrne. This was a gorgeous pic of her Grandchildren. Such a fantastic job Diana. Thanks for sharing with us.

Next up we have a couple of Vintage layouts to share with you. We have been doing loads on Vintage lately. It seems so many of  our students have some amazing Vintage photos & it is such a shame to keep them hidden away in a drawer, much better to get them onto a layout for all to admire. This layout was done by another of our students, Ann Nguyen. Ann has done some stunning Vintage layouts with us. She has so many gorgeous Vintage photos. 

Here is another Vintage layout that Ann did at yet another class recently. This one is reminiscent of the War years with some great old family photos. Ann is very lucky to have such great pics. Thanks so much girls for sharing these with our followers.

MOTHERS DAY NEWS UPDATE

Just to let you all know that we do Gift Vouchers which may be of some help for that last minute pressie, far better to get something that you really want!!!!!

 This week we received lots of NEW stock of 2 Crafty chipboard "bits" made especially for cards. These are soooo nice & just the perfect size, gorgeous little minatures.  We will be increasing this range too as it is proving to be very popular with all of our Card Makers, so stay tuned, more designs on the way.

We also received some "Dusty Attic" chipboard "bits" for cards, so we really have rather a good range for our Card Makers to choose from.  None of these photos do justice to these cute "little" shapes.

Lastly today we took delivery of some of the New Kaiser background stamps, including Graffiti, Wire Mesh, Clockfaces, Metal Checker Plate, Vintage Fence, Music Notes & more. These are great for both Scrapbooking & Cards.

"Page of the Month" Kits AvailableScroll down to see example

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that this months "Challenge Kit" is available. This month we have gone for something different & decided to use these gorgeous "Page Frames" from 2 Crafty for our monthly challenge & base it around Mother Day. If you look at the picture below you will see how one of the Green Tara Design Team girls, the very talented Vicky Alberto, has used a similar one. The one we are using in this months challenge is a 3 x 3 where as Vicky has used a 4 x 3. I can see this standing on an easel instead of just in an album, this way you can make it really 3D with flowers spilling over etc.

 The kit  contains:

1. Page Frame

2. "A Mother is a Special Kind of Friend" chippie word

3. Pair Flourish Corners

Cost is $22.40 less discount & you have until 28th May to have it in for voting. The winner recieves a $25 prize. You use these three pieces & the rest is up to you. You can use whatever else you like with it.

We thought with Mother Day nearly here we would have Mothers as our theme. Perhaps you & your children or you & your Mother or perhaps all three generations of Mothers & children. MAY CARD CLASSES

Hello everyone.  Just wanted to show you some cards I have just made. We will be making three of these in our May Card Classes. I'm not totally sure which three yet.  When I start making cards I just can't stop!!! I'm sure my fellow cardmakers understand what I mean. We will definately be making the clock one & the little bike one & I haven't decided which one will be the third one, you will have to wait & see!!! As you can see this months theme I have gone with chipboard card accessories from 2 Crafty & lots of yummy flowers, ribbons & lace  from Green Tara of course.

At our shop at The Entrance we have lots of really sweet little 2 Crafty chipboard pieces made especially for cards, including a good selection of little chipboard "card greetings" like the ones I have used here on these cards. They really do make cardmaking so easy.

Friday 11th May 10am to 2pm

OR

Thursday 26th May 7pm to 10.30pm

In our card class you will make 3 cards.

Cost is $20 class fee plus $10 kit fee & learn a hole lot of new skills, but best of all, have fun while you are learning.

Stock Update

 Hi everyone. I hope you have all made it through yet another week OK. I thought I would do a quick stock update, sorry I haven't done one all week but it really has been so busy.

Today we received stock of these gorgeous "Tim Holtz" Trinket cases.

 I do soooo love these, with all their little fold out shelves.

We also received  top up stock of all our favourite Tim Holtz embellishments, die cuts & some tools.

 Lots of  top ups of some of the popular Prima papers as well as some of these fabulous little "Journaling Note Card" packs. These are really sweet. 

 We also got some of these fabulous Websters Doileys & some more top ups of the always yummy Green Tara Fabric flowers.

 NEW stock of "Martha Stewart" Papers Trimmers are now in. Now we have never stocked these before but as we are all having problems with another well known brand, (that will remain nameless), we thought we would give these a try & I have to say, they really look like a great cutter. We also received  some of these fab  Martha Stewart Circle Cutters. These cut a big variety of sizes.

As always we  got lots of Martha Stewart "Around the Page" Border Punches in. We always stock a massive range of these, some  top ups & some NEW ones as well.

Lastly we got some NEW Prima stencils & masks as well as some really gorgeous stamps.

"Just You" Showcasing Green Tara Flowers

Hello friends. Thanks for calling by. Today I just wanted to share a layout I did a few weeks ago, showcasing these gorgeous Green Tara flowers. As most of our local friends know, at our little shop, Di's Scrapbooks at The Entrance, we stock loads & loads of very yummy Green Tara flowers, ribbons & laces. The great thing about Green Tara is that not only do they sell their flowers in "Concept Packs" but you can also purchase them loose. Now this makes them very affordable. They have recently released a NEW Fabric Flower range. This range features many different styles of flowers & they are available in many different colours too.
