Boys & Their Toys

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a nice Easter. Today I am sharing yet another boy page. The colours  in this photo were my inspiration. Great boy colours. I have used an EK Border Punch around the edges, & I have applies loads of white paint to give the colours some life. This paint technique works well on most projects, the messier the better. I just used a white paint "Dabber" at random.  Next I used a new boy range of papers from Theresa Collins, I just love them!! I have also used Green Tara Black fringe trim & chipboard cogs which I have used  metallic paint & ink on them to give a metal effect. On the chipboard words I have firstly painted them & then roughly stamped them in a "hit & miss" fashion & then inked the edges just to "grunge" them up a little. Lastly I have thrown some Big metal pewter brads onto the page & added a small metal bulldog clip onto the tag. I do love to use "metal" on boy pages. Until next weeks post. Happy scrapping.     Di xx Pin It Now!

However I would really appreciate it if  you could  become a "follower". That way you recieve notification when I put something NEW on. Go down to the bottom right hand side bar & click on "Follower" & simply follow the prompts. Too easy. It doesn't cost you anything. Thanks heaps.    Di Pin It Now!

Some Male Cards

Hi everyone. This week I thought I would share some male cards that I have made. Some I made a while back & some are newbies. I teach Card classes at my shop & I always hear people say that they struggle with male cards, so hence I thought I would do this post. Maybe you might get a few ideas from this little lot. I just love to do lots of layers on cards, especially male ones. I am a very tactile person & I particulary think that this also works well on male cards. The vintage truck & cars are all  Darkroom Door stamps. The large vintage truck is  stamped on cork. Cork is great to stamp on. There are various other bits & pieces in this lot including, Graphic 45 tags, wooden numbers, chipboard keys & padlocks,  metal cogs, Green Tara mesh & ribbons, string, Cuttlebug embossing & various other stamps. The products I have used are all available at my shop at The Entrance. Until next weeks post. Be safe over the Easter weekend.     Di Pin It Now!

"Adore"

Hello everyone, today I would like to share this page I did recently. It is a very simple page with my favourite colour "GREEN". I have used a WOW chippie negative filmstrip & word, both Prima & Kaiser flowers & a great Border Punch.  I have also heat embossed & stamped the little words. Until next time.  Cheers Di  xx

Smile (boy Version)

This week I thought I would show you this little monster page I did a couple of weeks ago. for one of my classes. It features Scrapware chipboard 12x12 circles, monster & corrugated alphabets. For the background I didn't want to use a pre cut scalloped edge shape as I didn't want that sort of uniformity, so I opted to make my own.  All I did was use circle punches of different sizes & just drew around them to achieve a more random effect. Next I splashed some white paint around the edges & then got out a white gel pen & doodled some very rough lines. Now for the good part. I got a whole lot of different size lids from various jars, applied some paint, & used the lids to stamps the different size circles. Very rough but I was pleased with this effect. I roughly threw some more white paint on the corrugated letters & also painted up this little monster before coating him in "Crackle Accents". Until next  week. Happy scrapping.   Di Pin It Now!

Smile (Girl Version)

This little page is the girl version of the one underneath. We always do this at my shop so that nobody is left out. I have used all the same techniques & chipboard etc except on this one I have just made it a bit more girly with all these sweet little "Green Tara" flowers & ribbons. I have also stamped  & heat embossed the owl & the  journal tag. I hope you like this page & maybe get some ideas. All the products I use in my pages are available for purchase at my shop or the page can be purchased as a kit which includes all products & instructions.  Until next week. Happy scrapping.      Di Pin It Now!

O.M.G!

I thought I would share this page with you this week as I absolutely adore these photos. Apparently it is totally edible paint!!! Could you believe one baby could get into so much mess.  I have used a NEW Jillybean Soup paper with cute little monsters. If you look close you can see I have cut some out. I have also used "Words or Whatever" (WOW) chip for the title, which I have painted then stamped & heat embossed, as well as WOW chip monsters, that I also painted. I have misted, sewn & distressed the background. I might have gone a bity crazy with the flowers, both Prima as well as some cute little felt ones that I picked up.I have also added some sweet  little flower & heart buttons. For the final touch I added some ribbons. Until my next  post. Happy scrapping.    Di xx Pin It Now!

NEW Cards for my April Card Classes

These are some of the cards I have designed for my April Card Classes. I have used "Words or Whatever" Mini Laser Cut Card Words. Lots of "Green Tara" goodies including their Rosebuds, Pearl Trim, Ribbons, Fibers, tiny bows (these are fab, they come in loads of different colours & they are already done for you. Too easy), as well as their great new mesh which I have used to tie a  great big bow with. It is very soft & is really easy to make a really good looking bow out of. Also being this neutral colour you can change the colour of it with  Glimmermist, paint, ink etc. I have also used loads of NEW punches. I am sooo addicted to these. I can't stop using them. I want to use them on everything!!!! We are also doing some stamping, inking, using the Cuttlebug to texturise & also showing you how to tear your paper like a true professional. You would be amazed how many people are terrified of tearing. Well no more. We will show you the easy way. Lastly we will be using these great little tags. These tags are so nice.

Our Card Classes featuring these cards are on Friday 8th April at 10am. Also Friday 29th April at 10am & Thursday 28th April at 7pm. These classes are a 4 hour class which also includes the kit with everything. We also supply stamps, punches, Cuttlebug etc.

Ring the shop on 43344451 to book in. Classes are already 3/4 full.

THESE CARDS CAN ALSO BE PURCHASED AS A KIT. Pin It Now!
