"Love You" Page & Card

Hello everyone, this week I thought I would share yet another boy page with you. I do seem to be on a boy page roll at the moment. This was a page I did for a class last month at my shop. Also at the moment I am enjoying making cards out of my left overs. While I have everything out, & we always have leftovers, why not whip up a quick card. When I did this page I had painted all the owls as I wasn't sure of how many I was going to use. Hence this little card made to use up the third owl. I just love these little Scrapware owls www.scrapware.com.au They all come apart so they are just so easy to paint & then just pop back together. I have used a product called "Crackle Accents" on the little feet, beak & head feathers to make these features stand out. I have used some "WOW" chippie Card Words too as well as a "WOW" chippie Banner www.wordsorwhatever.com.au. I have also used a great "Coredinations" patterned cardstock instead of papers. If you look closely on the left side of the page you can see I have very lightly sanded it. This Core range is great. I have also lightly misted it as well. I got this NEW "crossword" stamp & was dying to use it so I have just added the stamped image in underneath the photo after distressing the edges.I have literally just thrown some brown paint around the edges to give them some definition & pleated some mesh & stitched it across the bottom of the page, & hey presto. All finished.

All the products you see in my pages on this blog I sell in my shop . See the link to my shop on the top right side of my page. I don't have an online shopping cart but you can either email me or phone the shop & we are happy to mail anything out. Until next week. Be safe.       Cheers Di  xxx Pin It Now!

Boys Week at Just-Fabulicious

This week I thought I would make it boys week. I have been doing so many girly pages lately I thought it time for a change. This page is one I did about a year ago for yet another class at my shop. Because I have to constantly design pages for classes at my shop it is rare that I seem to do much other scrapping. I have always been fond of how I did these eyelets with the string threaded through them. I was happy with this effect. The other element I was happy with is the buttons. These are "WOW" chipboard which I covered with denim fabric scraps, punched holes in & just threaded ribbon through. I have painted the "WOW" chipboard words & arrows, inked the edges & randomly stamped them. I hope you get a few ideas from this little page. Happy scrapping.    Di xx Pin It Now!

Bright Eyes

I just love this colour combination. I did this page about a year ago for a class at my shop. I have used a hand made paper which is very rough in texture.  I made my own felt border as well as one I purchased, I've used fabric scraps, loads of buttons, oversize hand stitching,  doodling & paper tearing. I have simply painted the "WOW" chipboard tickets & words & then gave them a coat of Crackle Accents. A very tactile page although  quite a simple little boy page.  Overall I like it. Hope you do too. Until next time.     Di Garling Pin It Now!

Picture Perfect (Boy Version)

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would share this page, I designed for a class over at my shop.  This is the boy version of one I posted here a couple of weeks ago. We always do both girl & boy versions  at my shop so that people can decide which one they want to do. I have used a great Green Tara paper string. If you can get your hands on some of this, give it a try. It is different to a lot of other twines & string I have used in the past. As it is made of paper, it is very workable & sort of stays where you put it.  Hard to explain, but it is super cheap & comes in so many colours. It also mists up very well. I have threaded it through little brass eyelet things down the side of my page. I have also sewn some Green Tara mesh accross the page in a pleated fashion,  Glimmermisted the background, painted & Crackle Accented some WOW chipboard words & bracket shapes & hey presto. Finished. Until next week. Happy scrapping.    Di  xx Pin It Now!

NEW Cards for my May Card Classes

Hello everyone. This week I thought I would do my weekly Blog post  a few days early as I am off to Queensland on Wednesday to "Creative Block". This is an annual Trade show that runs for three days. All the overseas suppliers like Prima, Bo Bunny, Graphic 45, Coredinations, Sizzix, EK Success, Theresa Collins etc plus many more will all be there. It was awesome last year & I am sure that this year will be even better. They show off all their NEW goodies & we as shop owners get to do classes with all the best designers from these companies. It is  very inspirational. I have booked to do nine classes. I cannot wait. I wonder what new things we will learn this year. Anyway, I will share all this with you next week.
