NEW "PAGE OF THE MONTH" Kits Now Available

 

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you all know that the NEW "Page of the Month" kits are available from tomorrow, 1st March. This is the kit & I thought we would change things up a bit. Instead of me picking everything for the kit as per normal, this month I have chosen this 2 Crafty word "A Laugh is a Smile That Bursts" as well as this gorgeous chipboard Heart, I have teamed it with a pack  of yummy flowers & ribbon.....and the rest is up to you!!!! Yes thats right, this month you add your own papers, cardstock, embellishments or whatever else you like to put with this basic kit. You have until the end of March to create a page using the kit, then we bring them all in & showcase them on the wall of the shop & ask retail customers etc to vote for their favourite. Whoever gets the most votes wins a great  scrapbook pack to the value of $35.00. Not bad hey?

STOCK UPDATE

 

We received an order of both NEW stock as well as some top ups  from Kaisercraft today. This is one of the NEW release ranges. Sooooo nice, & it comes with these gorgeous bags of "Collectables" featuring butterflies, little tags, flourishes, words & more. Kaiser do this with all their NEW ranges these days. This is such a bright & colourful range.

This is yet another NEW release range Kaiser have just released. This is a great one for the boys, featuring great strong colours in teales & oranges. They have robots & lots of great boy type patterns. This range also comes with great chipboard embellishments  & more "Collectables" to go with it.

 

We also got some NEW release MDF wood pieces as well as a top up of some of their older favourites. These MDF wood pieces look fab just left raw. You don't even need to paint them or anything.. Too easy.

 We also got some top up stock of the ever popular Kaiser flowers & doileys in both large & small. We carry pretty much the full range of colours in these flowers & they are so well priced.

We also got a top up delivery of Copic Pens today. We carry the entire range of Copic Ciao.

My "2 Crafty" Design Team PostCool Kid

Hi everyone,  I hope you have all had a great week & got lots of scrapping done. I certainly did. Today I want to share this boy layout with you. I have been doing so many girlie pages of  late & one of my customers in my shop  said to me last week that I hadn't been doing  as many boy pages  as I usually do, so I stepped up to her challenge & I have actually done three this week, this one & two others. All are going to be classes at our shop so if you want to see the other two, call in & have a peek.  I love these strong colours on boy pages. I have used the 2 Crafty word "Cool Kids" & I just cut the "S" off kids, too easy.

I have also used these individual film strips from "2 Crafty" to accomodate my photos. These are just plain chipboard & I have simply painted them black. They are a great way to accomodate a lot of photos on a page.

 I have included lots of little techniques that are very suited to boy pages, so if you would like to join us in a class to do this or any of our other eighty plus pages that we have on display in our shop, just give us a ring to book in on 02-43344451. STOCK UPDATENEW Flowers & NEW Chipboard

Hi everyone. Just thought I would do a stock update. We have been overwhelmed with NEW stock again over the past week. We have loads & loads of brand NEW chipboard from a great NEW company called 2 Crafty. They have a blog & yours truely is on their Design Team, so make sure you click on the link & go over & pay a visit. Their blog is updated with lots of great ideas, several times a week. Di's Scrapbook Shop have always been known for our fabulous range of chipboard products, & we always will be. Thought it time to change things up a bit.

As always we have an enormous range of chipboard words in stock all the time & we can have anything you like custom made, any words that you need & there is no extra cost for this service. It usually only takes a day or two to get done. We usually have around 90 to 100 different word titles available for you to choose from, otherwise we will get it custom made for you.

We have also doubled the amount of Dusty Attic Chipboard to our range. They just have soooo many gorgeous chipboard pieces, I couldn't decide what ones to get, so I pretty much got most of it. Click on this link & go over & check out their gallery, it is amazing. You will not be dissappointed!!!!

My Green Tara Design Team Blog Post"The Eyes are the Windows to the Soul"

 Hi everyone. I just wanted to show you this layout I have just finished off  as my contribution to the Green Tara  Blog. As most of you know I am on their Design Team & this was my layout for them this month. If you haven't been over to their blog lately I suggest you you pop over & check it out. We have just given it a makeover & it is looking really good, plus there are some great ideas for using their yummy flowers, ribbons & trims.

 

All of these gorgeous flowers on my layout are Green Tara. They were all originally white & I have simply Glimmermisted them to the colours I needed to match my layout.  (We sell a great range of Glimmermist colours at my shop at The Entrance).  I have also trimmed these green flowers with some "Diamond Dust" to add a bit of glitz.  Also on this layout I have used some of their gorgeous lace, green trim & I have tied one of their yummy sheer ribbons into a bow to finish off with.

STOCK UPDATE (Scroll Down)

Hi everyone. Thought I had better do a Stock update. We have had some beautiful papers arrive in this week, not to mention lots of other goodies too. I haven't photograped them all, because it would take me all night, but I have picked out my favourites.

These are a gorgeous NEW range from a NEW supplier. Lots of Shabby Chic & vintage. Sooooo pretty.

Here is the best part. For every 12" x 12" paper they do they have a little version in 12" x 4" that you get for FREE to match, so you can do some "fussy cutting" to add to your layout or make a matching card with it. How clever!!! They also make these incredible paper doileys (hard to see all sizes & detail in this photo). They come in 3 sizes with 4 of each in a pack. Really nice quality too.

Next they do the same papers in a 6" x 6" size for card makers. You get 5 sheets to a pack for $3.95.

This fab boy range arrived in store this week also. It has matching alphabet & word stickers as well as a terrific sheet of really cute die cuts.

We also got some great NEW school papers, chipboard alphabets, die cuts, embellishments in ready to scrap those back to school photos with. There a lots more to choose from, this is just a sampling.

We also got some NEW aqua coloured Green Tara flowers in this week. They have added this beautiful colour to their already extensive range of colours. This is again just a sample but all of these flowers come in black, pink, mauve, purple, apricot, cream etc etc. These are all sold loose & are very reasonably priced. I always have a stash of the white ones on hand so I can Glimmermist to whatever colour I need.

February Card Classes

Hi everyone, I thought I would show you the cards we are doing in our February Card Classes. I hope you like them. This month I have gone with turquoise & chocolate brown. I was hoping to receive a NEW Vintage range that I ordered for our card class, but unfortunately it didn't arrive in time!!! We will do that one next month instead.

Our monthly Card classes are held on the second & fourth Fridays of every month which will be 10th & 24th February at 10.30am. Also the last Thursday night of every month which this month will be 23rd February at 7pm. Cost is $30 for a four hour class & that includes a full kit of everything.

You will love this card, it has little flaps & all sorts of bits everywhere. It is finished off with a gorgeous handmade flower too. In the top right corner it features an opening door frame.

This card features some more hand made flowers teamed with some Green Tara flowers, spilling out of this little vase & finished off with a beautiful Green Tara bow.

 

Lastly this card features some little handmade Pinwheels. Never made these before, you will be amazed at how easy they are. We will also be using the Cuttlebug to do some die cutting with Spellbinders as well as embossing. SNEAK PEEKS & STOCK UPDATE

Hi everyone, I hope you have had a great week. It is that time   again when I share some "Sneak Peeks" with you & give you a stock update.

A great "Fun in the Sun" water themed layout which suits four photos, plus learn how to make these cute little Pin Wheels.

On this layout we change the colours of just about everything using Glimmermist. Choose whatever colours you like. If you have never used Glimmermist before then this would be a great class for you to learn all about  it.

Learn all about using Gesso on this layout. Such a pretty feminine page.

Another one for the boys. Lots of grunge as well as some stamping. These are just a small example from the eighty plus layouts on display at my shop at The Entrance.

SCRAPBOOK CLASSES

Held daily at 10.30am Monday to Saturday. Cost is $12 plus materials. Also every Friday night from 7pm to midnight.

STOCK UPDATE
 I have  done all of my orders for lots of NEW goodies from CHA. As most of you are aware, CHA was held this week in the USA. It is on twice a year & all the manufacturers from around the world go & show off all their new release products. All of the Australian distributors attend & order all the new stock to sell to all the Aussie shops. They have already got it all up on their websites for all of us shops to order. I have done all my preorders  for the new release stock & it will all start arriving in store in about two weeks. Too easy.
We have also had a lot of NEW stock as well as top ups arrive in store this week. We have a lot of New School papers arrive as well as an awesome new Boy range from Echo Park called "A Boys Life", check it out you will love it. We had lots of new Glimmermist colours as well as a top up of lots of Stencils (chicken wire & brick walls) arrive. I have ordered loads of NEW ones of these too.
We also got a good top up of Prima (there is never a week that goes by that we don't get a Prima order in!!!) a top up of Tim Holtz & lots of yummy embellishments too.  Loads more came so stay tuned. Until next time.     Cheers Di  xoxo Pin It Now!
